Finding Fate #1
Plot (Goodreads Summary):
Pixie and Levi haven’t spoken in nearly a year when they find themselves working―and living―at the same inn in the middle of nowhere. Once upon a time, they were childhood friends. But that was before everything went to hell. And now things are… awkward. All they want to do is avoid each other, and their past, for as long as possible. But now that they’re forced to share a bathroom, and therefore a shower, keeping their distance from one another becomes less difficult than keeping their hands off each other. Welcome to the hallway of awkward tension and sexual frustration, folks. Get comfy. It’s going to be a long summer.
Review:
I already did a review on this book. But it was my favorite book of 2019 so I thought I would do another review about my thoughts now.
My favorite part of this book is the sexual tension. I never thought I was a fan of it until I read this book and now I crave it. The way Chelsea Fine writes it makes it so that you are wondering how the tension got there, wanting it stop, and wanting it to keep going at the same time because it’s just that good!
The entire book I was wondering what happened in their past and how they would over come it.
Not only is has this book brought me to one new genre, but it’s brought me to another that I have hated and I didn’t mind until thinking about right now. I didn’t even realize that it is a second chance romance until right now. I think I’m okay with reading those books now.
I just now see how many genres are really in this book: best friend’s brother, second chance, hate to love. I mean… wow. There’s probably more that I can’t think of. You guys should let me know which ones I forgot by reading the book and then commenting.
Pixie is someone that with her past, I cannot relate to. As a person though, I think we were separated at birth. I love Pixie and I feel like we have the same personalities. She is hot headed and independent but not in an annoying way. I love Pixie and her attitude towards things.
Levi is a book boyfriend that is silent but you notice him anyways because he just has that energy that draws you in. I think this pair is one of my favorites because of how they react with each other.
I love this book and I don’t know why it has a 3.88 star rating on Goodreads because it deserves five stars.
Blogger’s Note:
It is Wednesday. Wednesdays are review days. We started off my blog with reviews. We are already starting out 2020 with a reviewing bang.
My new Goodreads reading goal is 77 books which is two more than last year. I barely read my 75th book in 2019 so I don’t know if I’m gonna be able to finish 77.
We’ll see.
Love you all ♡
