The Field Party #2
Plot (Goodreads Summary):
In the follow-up to Abbi Glines’s #1 New York Times bestseller Until Friday Night—three teens from a small southern town are stuck in a dramatic love triangle. Willa can’t erase the bad decisions of her past that led her down the path she’s on now. But she can fight for forgiveness from her family. And she can protect herself by refusing to let anyone else get close to her. High school quarterback and town golden boy Brady used to be the best of friends with Willa—she even had a crush on him when they were kids. But that’s all changed now: her life choices have made her a different person from the girl he used to know. Gunner used to be friends with Willa and Brady, too. He too is larger than life and a high school football star—not to mention that his family basically owns the town of Lawton. He loves his life, and doesn’t care about anyone except himself. But Willa is the exception—and he understands the girl she’s become in a way no one else can. As secrets come to light and hearts are broken, these former childhood friends must face the truth about growing up and falling in love…even if it means losing each other forever.
Review:
I was not excited about this book. I am not a fan of love triangles and I only read this because I knew who she would end up with so I knew who to root for. I love realistic fiction books and this entire book series is dramatic and will never ever happen in real life. And if it does, my condolences.
I don’t like Gunner. I just don’t like him but I like him when he’s with Willa. I just don’t like him. He ain’t my type. At least Willa and Gunner balance each other out becuase I really like Willa. She has no filter and I see a lot of myself in her.
This book was really dramatic and the only reason it wasn’t one of my favorites was because of gunner and because of the fact that it was not realistic at all. Gunner’s family are traders and Willa’s life isn’t what I have ever seen before. Her life might actually be someone else’s but I wouldn’t know since I am the most sheltered person when it comes to life outside of books.
Blogger’s Note:
Hello there beautiful. Hi. I saw a play that a high school in my area put on and it was Frozen but I don’t know how I feel about it. If it wasn’t a recreation then I probably would’ve liked it more but I don’t know. It’s like a book to movie adaptation. I am so tired because whenever I am in a dark space and not sleeping I get tired. I sat in a chair in a dark space and watched a play and now I am exhausted and have been that way for hours but I can’t take a nap or else I can’t sleep that night. I’m probably gonna go to bed now.
Love you all ♡
