One Year! (and eight days) Giveaway!

I was so excited for my one year anniversary of my bookish life but when the day comes around, I completely forget. Coincidentally enough, I am eight days late which is funny because October 8th is the one year date. And oct means eight so we have three eights in this equation.

In all seriousness, I love you guys so much and I really want to thank you guys for coming on this journey with me. How the hell can something so sentimental be sound so freaking cheesy? When I say I love you all at the end of my post I mean it. You guys are amazing for actually reading this crap I call content.

Onto the giveaway because I know a lot of you are only here for that. Mind you, the giveaway does not start running until the 20th (this Sunday) at no designated time. I will be giving away a book of your choosing. Anyone can participate as long as you have Instagram and if you don’t I am so sorry but this is an Instagram based giveaway. The winner will be announced on my blog and Instagram on the Halloween (October 31st) at no designated time.

The rules are simple:

  1. Follow my blog and my Instagram (@books.for_thoughts)
  2. Comment on the Instagram post what book you want (that is under $15) and tag someone you think would like my blog/Instagram.
  3. On Instagram, add my post to your story.

That’s it. I hate when giveaways have rules like this but I honestly understand it now. Next year it will be different but funner and for certain holidays I am thinking of doing giveaways for the fun of it.

I am so excited for this and there are not many people following my Instagram so there is a pretty good chance that you will get a book of your choosing.

The giveaway starts October 20. It ends October 31.

You guys have no idea how happy I am.

Love you all ♡

Book 42: Follow Me Back

By: A.V. Geiger

Book #1 out of two.

Plot (Goodreads Summary):

Tessa Hart’s world feels very small. Confined to her bedroom with agoraphobia, her one escape is the online fandom for pop sensation Eric Thorn. When he tweets to his fans, it’s like his speaking directly to her… Eric Thorn is frightened by his obsessive fans. They take their devotion way too far. It doesn’t help that his PR team keeps posting to encourage their fantasies. When a fellow pop star is murdered at the hands of a fan, Eric knows he has to do something to shatter his online image fast—like take down one of his top Twitter followers. But Eric’s plan to troll @TessaHeartsEric unexpectedly evolves into an online relationship deeper than either could have imagined. And when the two arrange to meet IRL, what should have made for the world’s best episode of Catfish takes a deadly turn… Told through tweets, direct messages, and police transcripts.

A.V. Geiger is an amazing writer. She knows how to do character growth properly. I hated Eric so much when I first read about him but through out the book he becomes a good guy that I love.

I hate reading physical copies of anything but I love listening to audiobooks. Multitasking is probably what I do best in life and I can only do that when listening to audiobooks. But let me tell you folks, I was so freaking enthralled with this book and it was a physical copy that I could not put down.

I am not a fan of the ending cliffhanger but the rest makes me so happy. Especially when Tessa is meeting Eric for the first time because she thought he was lying which is realistic. Back to the ending thing, I didn’t like that there was a cliffhanger because I loved the book as it was and I didn’t want to have to read another one. I think I know what happens in the second book though.

I think the final Eric Thorn tweet is about MET. Everything connects to her. He said that all of his fans were leaches but when Eric was talking to Tessa he said that she wasn’t what he thought so she’s not a leach. But that doesn’t mean that MET isn’t a leach. And MET literally had nothing to do with the plot but if she were to be someone important in the second book than she would be mentioned in the first. Most authors don’t use this tactic but A.V. Geiger definitely would. I think. I don’t know for certain but it would look like something she would do since you know, she’s an amazing writer.

Blogger’s Note:

Hi. Okay so I will be adding a star rating chart to the home page so that if you don’t know how I feel about a book then you can just go there. Because different people have different ways of rating and I have a very specific way.

I’m already failing at school and it’s only day 2. My teacher puts questions on the test and on his handouts that aren’t even in the textbooks. Like how am I supposed to know what to do. I am acing all of the textbook homework but once he creates the test and adds his own questions to it that are mildly confusing, I fail.

A lot of holidays are coming up soon so beware of special posts.

Love you all ♡
