Top Five Friday- Top Five Colors

I don’t know so don’t ask.

  1. Green! Emerald or forest green. Emerald is the color of my birthstone and forest is pretty.
  2. Pink. I love the color baby pink and any other shade is ugly to me.
  3. Yellow. Mellow yellow is really pretty.
  4. Blue. Navy blue is pretty. I just hate that everyone likes blue because I’m not the type of person who likes what everyone else likes.
  5. White. White is nothing and everything at the same time. When in a black room you can’t see anything, but with white, there are shadows. I don’t know where I was going with that.

Blogger’s Note:

I totally forgot about this and that’s because it’s the last week of my quarter and I have so much work to do. If I don’t post on Sunday then it’s because I am doing school work. I also have an audition thingy on the 28th so I need to rehearse. I am doing a review soon with an author I am sure you are all familiar with so don’t forget to check my blog everyday.

Top Five Friday- Top Five T.V. Shows

  1. Brooklyn Nine-Nine. I love this show so much! I just found it a while ago and I’m already almost done!
  2. The Office. It’s leaving Netflix 😦 This is my favorite show of all time and it’s leaving Netflix. My favorite character is Dwight Schrute. He’s pretty freaking awesome. This is the best sitcom ever.
  3. Stranger Things. This show is funny, thrilling, awesome, and it has brought my sister and I closer together.
  4. The Men Who Built America. I don’t know if this is a show but they call the segments episodes so I am assuming it is. I am a sucker for historical documentaries and this is one of them. It’s my favorite documentary of all time.
  5. H2O: Just Add Water. This show is my childhood! My sister and I were obsessed and we send each other memes relating to this show.

Blogger’s Note:

I’m so tired and I am barely holding up my eye lids so I am going to explain a few things tomorrow so get excited for a story time. I’m going to bed now. Good night.

Book 40: The Mistake

NA or A. I don’t really know which category this goes in.

By: Elle Kennedy

β˜†β˜†β˜†β˜†

Plot (Goodreads Summary):

He’s a player in more ways than one… College junior John Logan can get any girl he wants. For this hockey star, life is a parade of parties and hook-ups, but behind his killer grins and easygoing charm, he hides growing despair about the dead-end road he’ll be forced to walk after graduation. A sexy encounter with freshman Grace Ivers is just the distraction he needs, but when a thoughtless mistake pushes her away, Logan plans to spend his final year proving to her that he’s worth a second chance. Now he’s going to need to up his game… After a less than stellar freshman year, Grace is back at Briar University, older, wiser, and so over the arrogant hockey player she nearly handed her V-card to. She’s not a charity case, and she’s not the quiet butterfly she was when they first hooked up. If Logan expects her to roll over and beg like all his other puck bunnies, he can think again. He wants her back? He’ll have to work for it. This time around, she’ll be the one in the driver’s seat…and she plans on driving him wild.

Review:

This was probably my least favorite of the series but it doesn’t mean that I didn’t like it. I loved it.

Logan: this boy has charm. I wouldn’t have done what Grace did and take Logan back because that’s just me; I am glad she did. I would probably make him feel like a complete jerk and been condescending af. That’s just me and if you follow in my foot steps, you better do it right.

Grace. I didn’t have a real connection with her like I did for the other girls. One of my favorite things about her is the trip to her mom’s over the summer. She got her hair dyed blond and I have to say that I love that. In the last year I have had five different things done to my hair. 1. Chopped it off. 2. Dyed purple. 3. Went blond and took the purple out. 4. After it grew out, dyed it purple again. 5. Chopped it off. It’s been a journey.

I don’t think I would read it again but I definitely don’t regret it. I would read if I haven’t already. If you haven’t read this series, do it.

Blogger’s Note:

I hope you guys know that I have a very weird sense of humor and if you understand it, great, if you don’t, understand. See, that was one of my jokes. Pretty great right? Kevin Hart once asked me for some pointers. Oh God, I am so bad at jokes. I am laughing at myself while editing this. So today was a pretty okay day. Not a bad one but it’s not going down in history or anything. Just because my day wasn’t one to remember doesn’t mean I wish the same for you. I hope your day was grand and spectacular. And check out my Instagram story because there is big news that will only be up for the next 24 hours.

Book-to-Movie Adaptation Review #1: “Shazam! Vol. 1”

Okay so I love this movie. I love it so much and it is one of my favorites. I don’t like movies. I prefer shows because it lasts longer but this movie is something else. I thought it was so dumb from what I saw on the trailer. I don’t like reading books after seeing the movies because I think that I have been spoiled by the outcome and I just don’t care to read it as much as I probably would have. This movie/book is different though, and I read the book after watching the movie.

The only difference between the two, are the evil characters. And another small difference is the backstory to a few characters. The book didn’t add a backstory but the movie did.

I love this book. Is it called a book or is it a comic? I don’t know but I love it. The art is so detailed and everything is precise.

If you have the chance to watch it or read it, do so. The book is free on Kindle Unlimited and the movie is free to me, and maybe to some other people, for reasons I don’t know.

Blogger’s Note:

Hi. Hey. Howdy. Good morning. Good afternoon. Good night. I would say hi in every language but that would take too long. Anyways, hi. How is your Sunday so far. I missed church last night and this morning so I am sad but I’m at my Grandma’s house for football. It’s a good day. Oh, and I forgot: “Well Met” was the book that was going to come out on Labor Day; not “The Play”.

Top Five Friday- Top Five Movies

  1. Overboard: It’s just like a book! It’s so good! The relationship dynamic and the character growth throughout the movie was just… wow.
  2. She’s All That: My mom told me she loved this movie when she was younger and she loved it. My sister and I watched together and we loved it; me more than her. I watched it again on my birthday with my friends and now they’re in love with it.
  3. Just Go With It: This is a fake relationship type movie and my favorite actors and actresses are in it: Adam Sandler, Jennifer Aniston, Nick Swardson, Griffin Gluck… The entire movie is amazing.
  4. Just Like Heaven: Reese Witherspoon and Mark Ruffalo. That’s it. I watched while I was visiting Utah and I fell in love immediately.
  5. Pride and Prejudice (soon): I’m reading it and I am in love so far. It’s a classic so it’s taking me longer. I haven’t seen the movie yet but I saw one scene of the movie where Mr. Darcy flexes his hand after lifting Elizabeth onto the carriage and that scene is one of the most intimate things I have ever seen.

Blogger’s Note:

I really want to make Top Five Fridays a personal things because I want you guys to get to know me better. I’m gonna do whatever is easiest at the time. Movies was easiest today. I’m tired but what’s new?

Book 39: Hate That Cat

By: Sharon Creech

β˜†

Plot (Goodreads Summary):

Jack

Room 204β€”Miss Stretchberry

February 25

Today the fat black cat
up in the tree by the bus stop
dropped a nut on my head
thunk
and when I yelled at it
that fat black cat said
Murr-mee-urrr
in a
nasty
spiteful
way.

I hate that cat.

This is the story of
Jack
words
sounds
silence
teacher
and cat.

Review:

I hate this book. And unlike the hate to love relationship between Jack and the cat, I will never stop hating this book.

I could not understand this book. Jack’s thoughts were kind of weird, but who am I to judge? I didn’t get anything except for the poems Jack wrote, those were pretty good.

A specific line that I hate and the line that made me realize how much I truly hate this book, is when Jack’s dad states that he sometimes wishes he couldn’t hear like his mom. Are you freaking kidding me? Are you choking on popsicle sticks? Have you thought about the fact that if you couldn’t hear than you could never hear your child’s laugh or voice, or when your spouse states that they love you?

I seriously can’t with this book. For your own health, please don’t read this.

Blogger’s Note:

I know it’s late but I legit thought that it was Tuesday. I had no school on Monday and that schedule kind of through me off. I know this is kind of short but I really don’t want to put energy into something that isn’t deserved.

Blogger’s Note:

I went on an Elle Kennedy book spree and I cannot wait to till tomorrow because that’s when the third book in the “Briar U” series comes out! It’s Labor Day and I can’t wait! It’s Hunter’s book. I read 14 books this month and I am so proud of myself. I am changing my entire bookstagram dynamic so go check out my IG in my social media section bar thingy up top. I’m having trouble with the photography part so I’m not going to be doing that on my blog anymore. I am not able to get the correct lighting because I am out all day and except for the weekends.
