Book 28: Watched

By: CJ Lyons

☆☆☆☆☆

Plot (Author’s Summary):

In a world where web cappers can hack any cellphone or computer webcam, no one is safe-including Jesse. Jesse seems like a normal sixteen-year-old, but he isn’t. He is a victim of King-a ruthless web capper who has been blackmailing Jesse with incriminating screen photos and videos. So far, Jesse’s given in to King’s demands in order to protect his family. But now King wants something that’s too horrible to contemplate-and if he doesn’t get it, King will kill Jesse’s little sister. Terrified and helpless, the answer to Jesse’s prayers arrive in the form of a plain manila envelope. Inside there’s a phone number and a note: I can help.

Review:

This was a totally different love story. Like… what?

So basically they were both in some porn thing. And they are both teens. I didn’t even realize that part until the ending. It didn’t really tell anything, it just inferred that they were sexually abused. I loved how CJ Lyons played this out because she made it like a movie. There were tense scenes and then there were scenes when you were waiting in anticipation. The writing was perfect for the story and the story was perfect.

Let’s start off with with the story line. That was way more than I could handle. I loved that the story was real and raw. I haven’t read a romance like this ever and I don’t think I will ever find one like it in the future.

I think it is so sad that the main characters had to act older than they were and couldn’t go to anyone but each other for help. I believe they were 14-16 years of age and what they did was way beyond belief.

King needed to die and I was relieved that he at least got what he deserved. He sucks trash.

I don’t even think there was anything wrong with this book. You guys know that I try to find the issues in a book and point them out. I want to point out what I get frustrated about but this book literally had none. Zero.

I have never seen this book before I went to the library. I asked for mystery books and this one was recommended; I will always thank that librarian.

Blogger’s Note:

I usually have something to put here but nothing’s coming to mind. Y’all are so amazing, though. That’s all. ☺

Love you all ♡
